Scope and publication role
Atlas Wire is an independent informational publication. This notice applies to the atlaswire.site static website and its editorial pages. It is not a provider privacy notice, and it does not govern an operator, eSIM seller, travel platform or external website that a reader might visit after leaving this site. Those services should be reviewed under their own current notices.
Information readers choose to send
The contact page displays a nonfunctional demonstration form. It does not submit, transmit or store information. If a reader chooses to email [email protected], the message may include the sender’s email address and the information supplied in the email. Readers should not send passwords, eSIM activation credentials, QR codes, account numbers, identity documents, payment details or other sensitive information.
The potential lawful basis for reviewing and responding to a voluntary editorial email is legitimate interest in operating an informational publication and handling reader correspondence, or steps requested by the sender where applicable. A reader may also have rights to object or request deletion, subject to legal and operational limits described below.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
The site includes a light/dark theme control that may use the browser’s local storage to remember a reader’s display preference. That preference remains in the browser until the reader clears it or changes it. Atlas Wire does not state that it operates analytics, advertising trackers, cross-site behavioural profiles or newsletter submission tracking through this static site. If a future version adds a non-essential analytics or advertising technology, the notice and any required consent approach should be updated before that technology is used.
Basic technical data may also be processed by a reader’s browser, network, hosting infrastructure or internet service provider when a web page is requested. This can include IP address, device or browser information, request time and logs needed for security and service operation. Atlas Wire does not claim control over every technical processor involved in ordinary web delivery, and readers should consult relevant third-party notices where applicable.
Retention
Editorial emails should be retained only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the correspondence, maintain a correction record, protect the publication’s rights or meet an applicable legal obligation. The demonstration forms do not create a submission record. Theme preference local storage is controlled by the reader’s browser. Technical logs, if maintained by a hosting environment, are subject to that environment’s operational retention practices.
Sharing and external links
Atlas Wire does not describe itself as selling personal data or sharing reader messages for advertising. Information may be disclosed where required by law, necessary to protect rights or security, or involved in operating the site through service providers acting under their own applicable terms. The site may link to external resources; following a link places a reader under the external site’s practices. Atlas Wire cannot control those third-party practices.
GDPR-oriented rights
Depending on applicable law and circumstances, a reader may have rights to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability, or withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis. A reader may also have the right to complain to a relevant supervisory authority. To make a request, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify the correspondence concerned, but never send sensitive credentials for verification.
Rights are not absolute. For example, the publication may need limited information to verify a request or retain a record where a legal duty or legitimate need applies. If Atlas Wire cannot action a request in full, it should explain the general reason when appropriate. This notice is informational and is not legal advice; local requirements can differ.
Security and changes
Reasonable organisational care should be used for editorial correspondence, but no email or internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure. Readers can reduce risk by limiting the personal information they send and by using the contact address only for editorial matters. This notice may be updated when site operations materially change. The current page is the appropriate reference for the publication’s stated approach.
